When you purchase a Mammoth Cloud server, it will come with a data transfer limit that varies depending on the plan you select.
Customers with two or more VPS automatically have data transfer pooling (aka bandwidth pooling) enabled: the ability to combine each server's individual data transfer limit into a combined, total limit that is shared across all your VPS.
How it works
If you have two VPS and your first server reaches its data limit, data consumption will be recorded against the second server until both have reached their limit.
More generally where multiple servers existing on one account:
- As your VPS consumes data, it is added to your monthly "data used" counter.
- If your VPS reaches its data limit, we will check your other servers to find the VPS that has consumed the least data and add the data usage onto that server instead.
- Eventually all your VPS might reach their data limit, after which further data used will be recorded normally and billed as excess data.
